Privacy Policy

Scavee counts the days since something. It has no accounts, no analytics and no third-party code of any kind. This page explains the little that follows from that.

What Scavee stores

The counters you create. Each one holds a name, an icon, a colour and a start date. That is the whole of it.

This lives on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, it also syncs to your other devices through the private database of your own Apple Account, the same mechanism your Notes and Reminders use.

We cannot read it. A developer has no access to the private iCloud databases of the people using their app. Once your counters are in iCloud they are handled by Apple, under Apple's privacy policy, and we are not a party to it.

What Scavee does not do

• No account to create and nothing to sign up for
• No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers
• No third-party SDKs of any kind
• No selling or sharing of data, because there is no data to sell

Purchases

Scavee Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Payment details never reach us. Apple provides aggregated sales reports that do not identify individual buyers.

App Store statistics

Apple gives every developer aggregated, anonymous figures about downloads and crashes. These cannot be traced back to a person, and Apple gives us nothing beyond them.

If you write to us

Emailing support means we receive your address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to answer you and for nothing else. We keep the correspondence while the matter is open and delete it afterwards. It never goes on a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes the counters from that device.

To remove the synced copy as well, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, then Scavee, and delete the data. That removes it from every device at once and it cannot be undone.

Children

Scavee is not directed at children and collects nothing that could identify anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, its correction, deletion or portability, and you may object to its processing. In practice the only personal data we ever hold is an email you sent us yourself, so most requests will be answered with the fact that we do not have it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no version history to dig through because there is not much here to change.
